Post Partum Care

Your Birth Helper will continue to provide emotional and physical support after the birth of your baby. Your Birth Helper can provide breastfeeding and bottle feeding support and information, teach the importance of self-care during this healing time, how to reduce stress and identify community resources you can access.

A Birth Helper can also assist with light housekeeping and laundry for baby and birthing person.  A Birth Helper can assist in accessing traditional knowledge keepers and ceremonies such as the placenta ceremony and naming ceremony as the family requests.
